Three railway stations are located there. They are Leningradsky, Yaroslavsky and Kazansky stations that entitled the square as Three Station Square unofficially . It is interesting to note that this square was known as Kalanchyovskaya before 1933.
The architectural ensemble includes the hotel Leningradskaya, three railway station buildings, the Central Customs House, the Komsomolskaya Metro Station, the Culture Center, the Department store “Moskovsky” and the square, where the monument of P.Melnikov is installed. P.Melnikov is one of the authors of the project of the first railway road from Saint-Petersburg to Moscow.
In my opinion, this point of the square is the good viewing point of nice building of this area.
